SEMINOLE – Pinellas County Sheriff’s deputy Brian Henderson was honored June 28 during the Seminole Lake Rotary Club’s 28th installation luncheon at the Belleair Country Club.
Prior to the installation of new officers and directors, outgoing president Mike Hendry welcomed Sheriff Jim Coats to present a special recognition to the family of Henderson who recently died unexpectedly of natural causes while at home.
Coats called Henderson one of the ”finest law enforcement officers that he had ever been associated with.”
Coats said his sudden passing was a shock to his family, the Sheriff’s Office and the city of Seminole, where Henderson served as a community officer for a number of years.
Past Rotary District Gov. Tim Schuler acted as the installing officer and administered the oath of office to Liza Campa-Flanagan, president; Mike Hendry, vice president; Earl Fratus, president-elect; Rob Riester, secretary; Rosa Sang, treasurer; and Dave Buzza, sergeant-at-arms. New directors are Wayne Reynolds, Vivian Lurie, Chuck Oldanie, Dudley Hastings, Bob Curry and Glenn Stamm.
