Tampa Bay Tap Dancing Festival

CLEARWATER - The Marcia P. Hoffman Performing Arts Institute at Ruth Eckerd Hall will be presenting The Tampa Bay Tap Dancing Festival from Friday through Sunday, Aug. 14-16. Early registration is suggested and students who register before Monday, July 13 will receive a 10 percent discount.

All ages and levels of experience are encouraged to attend. Workshops for beginning tap dancers will also be offered.

Mark Goodman, the artistic director of the Mark Goodman Tap Company and former member of the American Tap Dance Orchestra will lead the workshops. Other instructors include Eileen McGinley who will lead an Irish tap workshop, Debra Loran who will offer a high energy Jitterbug class and African Drummer Steve Turner.

Students from local dance studios who register as a group of 5 or more will also receive a 10 percent discount. For more information, call 727-712-2706 or visit www.hoffmanperformingarts.org.
